The Cajón Mixte has a double playing surface, a Peruvian playing surface on one side and a flamenco playing surface on the other. Partially sealed and snare-free, the traditional Peruvian side delivers the round, mellow tones and pure bass that have characterized Peruvian Cajóns for generations. Flip the Cajón over and the player can coax a more aggressive, modern sound from the snares common to modern flamenco style cajons. Use of dehydrated wood 8-10 degrees humidity. All of our Cajons are assembled with dovetail joints. Solid wood body.
